In 2005, Sosheba Griffiths was discovered by Deiwight Peters, the CEO of Saint International, while attending Denham Town High School. Shortly after her discovery, she entered the Fashion Face of the Caribbean model search, which she became triumphant and won in 2006.
Persistence is a profound word to describe the young model - a mere two months later, she appeared in Victoria Secret's catalog, and according to Sosheba this was an amazing achievement of her start-up career as a model. "The Victoria Secret catalog had lots of girls and I, the only black girl in the competition, won it. It went well with the photographer and I liked it. It's tough for black girls 'cause only one or two will burst out. So you have to work hard for it to come true," replies Sosheba during a recent interview.
