Ah, The Dubai Mall, the world's ultimate posh celebrity getaway. And not just any celebs, the A-listers such as Michael Jackson, who according to the rumormill has already said to have major property in the works. Not to mention, adored Italian designer Giorgio Armani is the alleged "interior designer" and "mastermind" behind one of Dubai's most swank hotels.

Question: I wonder if the Dubai Mall is recession proof?

Answer: Are gas prices still tipping the scales? (Let's not all nod at once).

Regardless, they say when in Rome, but I can't wait for that, so I'm hating until I get there, lol. FYI - This mall kills London's new mall and Mall of America without question ... damn the American celebutantes, the creme de la creme Arabian families know how to ball!!!

As reported by WWD.com: The highly anticipated Dubai Mall opens today, unveiling the first phase of a new retail, fashion and entertainment mecca. Featuring a 5.6 million sq. ft. of retail space, the mall is considered "the largest in the world." According to Yousif Al Ali, general manager of the Dubai Mall, there are 1,200 stores plus 160 food and beverage outlets, and the mall is expected to attract 30 million visitors in its first year. And while Dubai, like the rest of the world’s economies, is experiencing a slowdown, the mall is poised to do business in this major shopping and leisure destination.
