ADdicted ... Marc Jacobs and Valentino

Check out the Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter '09 Ad Campaign featuring one of my fav model, Ajuma Nasenyan alongside Natasa Vojnovic and Kamila Filipickova. Seamlessly shot by Juergen Teller for another season, but definitely keeping its "Marc Jacobs" fill as usual ... Gotta love a man who stays consistent!

Fashion Model Iris Strubegger posed so stunningly for noted photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for Valentino's Fall/Winter 2009 Ad campaign ... What's an Ad without Valentino's signature touch of red? Priceless!

Fav 5 Fall '09 Looks ...

Marc Jacobs F/W'09

Ralph Lauren F/W'09

Louis Vuitton F/W'09

Lanvin F/W '09

Burberry F/W '09

Of all the collections featured during Fashion Week, here are my fav 5 collections for fall/winter. Yes, these are the same designers, but they always bring the heat when it comes to their collections, especially the autumn collections. Leave it up to Burberry, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs to keep us ladylike with a unique twist of androgyny from season to season.

Can you image the effort of time, money and creativity put into each collection? Hats off to them all, but I'd rather them than myself, lol. Either way, I'm sure I'll be pulling inspiration from all collections - gotta love those labels!!!

The 135th Annual Kentucky Derby is scheduled to take place at Churchhill Downs on May 2, 2009 and if you've never been it's never too late to witness the festivities, especially the fashion. Definitely one of a kind, Kentucky Derby fashion is iconic within itself, besides Easter or Mother's Day it's the next best event to bring out your latest hat/glove combination purchase ... and ladies do they wear hats!

Check out a few of Marc Jacobs' hat collection I've selected for you ... if you rock it like her, I'm sure you'll turn a few heads ... PH-certified all day!!!

THE RISE OF GELLER ...

If you love Mr. Jacobs, then your style crossover to Robert Geller's collection will be expected.

As the former under-study of Jacobs, Geller launched his own line in 2006. From the looks of his jacket collection it isn't hard to tell he really has a knack for quality Japanese construction as well as the gift of design.

Check out a few of Geller's outerwear pieces below - very futuristic and the cut of the garments give off a bit of a cocoon-inspired shape, but more polished. What do you think?

Toggle Bomber $700

Souvenir Jacket $459.99

Field Jacket $880.00

Braided Cardigan W/ Hood $854.00

CLICK. FLASH. POSE: The "Material Girl" Poses for Louis V!

According to WWD, in search of the next "it" face for a LV ad campaign, Marc Jacobs scrolls through his BlackBerry to ask Madonna if she's interested in being the face of LV's Spring '09 ad campaign. In return she says "I'd love to," Madonna replied.

Talk about juice ... you got the juice now Marc! Lol.

LADIES: Have We Become Our Barbies?

Surely I'm not preaching to the choir when I reminisce to the ladies of the 80s Baby Era about BARBIE being our first love/authentic taste of the fashion industry as both stylists, dressers and designers on a mid-fashion and haute couture level, right?

It's amazing how majority of our childhood years were spent begging the parentals for new wardrobe for our Barbie dolls, and even the latest doll for that matter. I don't know about you, but I've noticed about my personal wardrobe that many of my staple or fav pieces, in fact, depicts some of my dolls previous fashions.

For example, BARBIE was extremely fashionable and courageously colorful with her handbags (especially her clutch bags, preferrably in pink aka Barbie Pink), shoe game, jewelry, hair weaves, long lashes, flawless makeup, flashy cars and various selections of stylish eyewear ... until one day it runs across your mind and you ask yourself - Have I Become My Barbie?

You ponder on that while taking a look-see at some items I've chosen from Net-a-Porter.com, which reminds me of some stuff Barbie's wardrobe would've included, lol ... enjoy!

Marc Jacobs "The Handy" Clutch, $330.

Ray-Ban "Two-toned Wayfarers" Sunglasses, $170.

Mike & Chris "Lyle Belted Poncho" $320.

Christian Louboutin "Very Prive" Pumps, $860.

Marc Jacobs revists Stephen Sprouse's Motifs

Marc Jacobs is elated to revisit the Sprouse motif, which pays homage to late designer/artist Steven Sprouse through a new tribute collection - mimicking the previous 2001 collection.

MARC JACOBS HAD THIS TO SAY:
The uncompromising, head-to-toe Sprouse aesthetic is timeless, Jacobs noted.

“It almost becomes a classic, like a Chanel jacket, or a smoking,” he said. “It’s this idea of a head-to-toe look in this brash, neon, rock ’n’ roll, edgy, street-informed style. Sprouse really best personified it.”

“I tried to take what Stephen had done at Vuitton and then kind of flip it in my head, and make it Vuitton’s work for Stephen, not Stephen’s work for Vuitton,” Jacobs said. “I just felt it was a funny way to play with it, to pretend to be Sprouse for a bit, and use the work that he did, and then bring it back to the work that he did before I collaborated with him.” [Source: WWD]
