ALL AMERICAN FORD S/S '09

Tom Ford might be the dopest suit designer from the U.S! Of course that statement is mostly subjective based on my personal preference when I'm looking to clean up nicely. Truth be told if we included the rest of the world in this debate, perhaps the designer of choice would be Ozwald Boateng. I digress a little, but back to Mr.Ford - his Spring/Summer '09 collection is lookin' pretty C.O.C.A!

Always One Step Ahead of the Game

As reported by WWD.com: Three years after forming his production company, Fade to Black, Tom Ford is finally in the director’s chair. Tom and Karl do TIME

Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld sat down for TIME to talk about how Ford discover and Mens Fashion:

Karl Lagerfeld: In a very simple way: people told me. First they started telling me about the perfume and the sunglasses, and then when the shop opened, I said, "Let's have a look." And it fit! So I thought it was the right moment. I was tired of narrow shoulders and things like this. I suddenly liked this post-Italian updated modern look. Modern because Tom's clothes have nothing to do with the old clothes. It's the idea of them. It shares the mood. But in fact they are made differently, and also, in ready-to-wear, this kind of quality didn't exist. They are beautifully made. They are weightless on the body.

Two heavyweight of the fashion world in one room, now thats COCA!
