New Kid of Fashion ... Lyn Devon

Lyn Devon was born and raised in Manhattan. After graduating from Brown University in 2002, she completed a course of study at Parsons School of Design and a design internship with Zac Posen. Devon then joined Ralph Lauren where she designed women's ready to wear.

During her tenure at Ralph Lauren, Devon began designing and producing her own line of custom clothing out her living room for a small, private clientele. Working one-on-one with clients enabled Devon to further cultivate her design philosophy by bringing the customer's needs to the forefront of her creative process.

In 2006, Lyn Devon launched her eponymous label and showed her first collection in New York that September. Her sensibility her refined, finely crafted clothing was apparent from the outset of the collection. These qualities, in addition to a taste for precise tailoring and clean sportswear, would be the foundation for subsequent collections.

In January 2007, Lyn Devon was named Women's Design 'Rising Star' by Fashion Group International. Following debut of her Fall/Winter '08 collection, style.com called Lyn Devon one of "The Season's 10 Most Promising Talents." Most recently, Devon was awarded the prestigious Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award for women's wear.
