Monday Morning Art: Anthony Morton
Today's Morning Art comes to you from Newark, NJ. Anthony Morton is student at the Pratt Institute where he studies Fine Arts. His creative inspiration comes from God, Hip Hop culture, graffiti artist, Vincent Van Gough and kehinde Wiley just to name a few. His artwork is "visual music for the eyes , displaying an unique instrumental vibe in each piece.Anthony says that “he like’s to use music as a medium to bring a sense of rhythm and motion to his work which he expects to accentuate the viewer”. His musical influences can range from Eric B. & Rakim’s Paid in Full album to the smooth sounds of jazz guitarist George Benson. Anthony hopes that his work will transcend beyond Hip Hop culture, and be accepted by all cultures around the world. At the age of 19 year old Anthony Morton definitely has a bright future ahead of him.
