Moschino Hotel Designs Unveiled

As the EcoSlump becomes stationary, reports have shown that the retail market is at a continuous pendulum swing. Although its side effects have captured the masses, those at empire status have kept things in order for the most part.

Take the Italian luxury brand Moschino for example, as told by DNRnews.com, the company will open its first hotel starting today.

DNRNews.com reports: The Italian luxury brand will unveil mock up rooms of the hotel during TTG Incontri, Italy’s leading tradeshow exhibition for the tourism industry. The show will be held in Rimini, on the Adriatic coast Oct. 24-26. The Moschino hotel is expected to open in 2009 in partnership with Hotelphilosophy S.p.A, Mobygest Group. The owner of the property is Allianz Global Investors SGR S.p.A – Fondo Ras Antares.

The hotel will be located in a former neoclassical railway station, which dates back to 1840, in Milan’s Viale Monte Grappa, near the trendy Corso Como area.

While the restoration of the exterior is conservative, the interior fully reflects Moschino’s tongue-in-cheek style. Rossella Jardini, creative director of the maison, is in charge of the hotel concept, which revolves around a fairy tale theme. “To sleep is perchance to dream, and dreams are fairy tales that we are allowed to experience first hand, the fables of a fantasy world that we have created,” said Jardini. “This is an alternate life in which we direct and stage the scripts of our very own play.”
