Show-N-Tell: Mario Sorrenti

They say 'you should learn something new everyday,' I agree, which is why I'm sharing with you one of my new found fav fashion photographers, Mario Sorrenti. We all know how demanding and daring the fashion industry can become, but in this case I place major stress on the DARE portion.

For example,
Mario Sorrenti is best known for his nude model spreads in V, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar magazines. Read more of his bio below and take a look-see at his pics ... He's definitely C.O.C.A!

BIO
Mario was born in Naples, Italy in 1971. At the age of ten he moved with his family to NYC. While growing up in a creative family environment with his father an artist and his mother working in the fashion industry, Mario, in his teens, started documenting his life through photography, always believing in his images and standing strong against compromising his work.

Mario’s photographs came to the attention of several leading creative directors, which eventually led to Calvin Klein commissioning him to work on their advertising campaign for their collection and Obsession fragrance. This is where it really began for Mario at the age of 21.

Mario lives in New York and shoots for publications such as:
French, British and Italian Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Visionaire, Arena Homme Plus and W Magazine.

While continuing to do campaigns for
Calvin Klein over the years, Mario Sorrenti has also worked with leading fashion houses such as: Missoni, Ungaro, Jil Sander, Loewe, Cesare Paciotti, Atsuro Tayama and Nicole Farhi. Mario’s beauty and fragrance clients have included: Yves Saint Laurent, Shiseido, Sephora, Ungaro and Calvin Klein.
